DarLaLuz- My Story- Meagan De Clerck -Doula, Childbirth educator and Multimedia Artist
Welcome to DarLaLuz, a space where my passions for art, birthwork, and education come together. The name DarlaLuz, meaning "to give light" or "to give birth" in Spanish, reflects the essence of what I aim to offer through my artwork and childbirth services.
As a DONA International-trained birth doula and BACE-certified childbirth educator, I’ve spent the past nine years supporting families during one of life’s most transformative experiences—birth. Whether through virtual or in-person classes from my home in Eden, my goal is to guide expectant parents through this powerful journey, helping them navigate the emotional and physical transitions of bringing new life into the world.
Alongside my birthwork, I am also an acrylic and multimedia artist, a path deeply inspired by my late father, who was my first and most cherished teacher. He introduced me to oil and acrylic painting, instilling in me a love for art that continues to shape my life. My earlier work drew from my experiences in refugee resettlement, and my time abroad studying crisis management and international relations. Now, my art is driven by my evolving spiritual journey, reflecting the beauty of life’s cycles and transitions, including the profound connection between the physical and spiritual realms.
On this website, you will find my artwork, which serves as an expression of love, unity, and the divine essence that connects us all. You'll also find information about my childbirth classes and doula services, where I aim to support families in a way that nurtures both body and soul.
I live in Eden with my husband and our four children, where we homeschool and teach at a local forest school. We are a trilingual family, navigating life with the same sense of wonder and connection that I bring to my art and birth work
. Through both, my hope is to help guide others through life’s big transitions with love, light, and a deep sense of unity.
